A roundup of the latest concert announcements.

People have been saying they still miss out on gig announcements. We post regularly on Facebook and on Twitter, and now we'll be posting here too...

It's a big year for international metal bands. There is of course Megadeth's show, but more recent announcements include Cannibal Corpse (US), Napalm Death (UK) (with support by Ashen, Masquerader and… Touming Magazine.. yes you read that right!) and Unisonic (DE). There's also a show by Finnish cello metal (!) group Apocalyptica.. that counts, right?

I'm sure you already know about Sigur Rós (ISL), Radiohead (UK), Nelly Furtado (CA) + Basement Jaxx (UK) + Go Chic and The Smashing Pumpkins (USA).

Other notable international acts coming up include; Mojave 3, Mono (JP) in Taipei and Kaohsiung, My Little Airport (HK), Perfume (JP) and another showcase of Japanese postrock (mathrock?) - 9mm Parabellum Bullet + People In The Box + te' + cinema staff + mudy on the 昨晩.

It's definitely music festival season and there seem to be multiple new announcements every week. There's a great lineup of both aboriginal and indie artists at the Miramar Resort Protest Concert. Beastie Rock 2012 is looking like another awesome weekend with a choice selection of Taiwanese bands, with a few from S.Korea and Japan. Wake Up Festival 2012 in Chiayi has a really great lineup of local indie and metal bands.
